Hey, J-Ab! You took off 45 pounds? In a month? Good Lord! My count? It's one of those good news/bad news things. Good: I am down 37 pounds. Bad: I'm STUCK at being down 37 pounds.

No idea how/why, but for 7 days now I've been stuck at the same weight DESPITE the fact that I have been proceeding dietarily EXACTLY as I have been for over 3 months now. By all logic, I should be down an additional 2-3 pounds this week, but no. I must be pulling in extra fat and calories from some parallel dimension.

Oh, and that whole post-goal maintenance aspect? I know, watch out for the all-too-common rebound effect. But I'm still about 10 weeks away from goal (and I WILL fit into my planned Halloween costume!), plenty of time to think about and transition into a long-term maintenance strategy.

I know. Don't ever trust anything this cute.

I always thought people in the Deep South explained all the natural catastrophes as "God is punishing American because he hates fags!". It is becoming increasing hard for me to be a proud American when I read the news and statistics...

DisposableInterloper on Aug 20, 2008

I suppose my disemvowelment would fall under the umbrella of "straight up outta line," though I'm still not quite sure precisely why, and Gizmodo couldn't give me a straight answer.

I guess someone got offended because I mentioned that whenever I see a disaster in the Deep South, I can't help but imagine a stereotypical hillbilly watching his dreams burn down, often to my amusement. I know it's kinda mean, but it's true, and it's not like I was flaming or bashing anyone or any group of people.

@jkr: No idea... What was he banned for?

Hello mighty star man. Say, do you know what happened to another star, uberfu? His last post was clipped from [gizmodo.com] , and he's been banned.

@Rabid Penguin: Well if there's one thing I'm certain of? The path we are on now ISN'T working!

Rabid Penguin on Jul 11, 2008

Did you read the article from New Scientist?

Apparently cleaner skies are bad now too... I guess we're damned if we do and damned if we don't. :c)

strider_mt2k on Jul 10, 2008

Always a good read, and I usually agree with you which ain't bad either.

Abnormal perhaps, but us 1-percenters have to stick together.

(Last day of my vacation, and I'm trying to spread the joy around while it's still here...) :\

Be well.
(or as well as can be expected)

You should see other vids by that guy on youtube. They are insane. Probably my favorite is of Santana.

That Rush vid was funny, best laugh so far today. Reminded me of my teen years. We never could get YYZ down. Thanks again!

I don't use public transportation. No matter what I do I always get sick every year.

johnnyabnormal on Jun 7, 2008

I heard all about it, which is why I stayed on 10.4 for so long. Supposedly, Airport was at fault & 10.5.3 was the fix for most. I don't use Airport in the audio suite...only ethernet.

johnnyabnormal on Jun 5, 2008

Why, thank you. It's probably nicer to look at than the mean cat avatar I've had for about a year or so. :) Your post-it avatar was to prove your photo was real?

*Very* nice pic you have there!

johnnyabnormal on Jun 2, 2008

Ha! I think he's done a good job demonizing himself. He even cracks jokes about himself being compared to Darth Vader.

GadgetPlay on Jun 2, 2008

I loved the Cheney poster! It amazes me that that's how badly he's been demonized. I may use his head for my avatar some day. TTU later.

When you say "fixes"...I'm not saying there won't be bumps in the road, but I don't think technological advances in fuel sources would be "devastating". The evidence that links humans is very solid. I think the most important thing anyone can do is check sources. Follow the money! It's always been the best way to weed out deliberate misinformation created by those who feel threatened by change. It appears oil companies haven't exactly kept their motivations very secret.
